How can our conscience be our guide?
A cannibal, an Indian, a Catholic, and an atheist professor all got stranded on an island along with two Irish flight attendants.
After a month, for breakfast one flight attendant failed to show up, but lots of fresh irish bacon was on hand.
The catholic asked if anyone felt guilty while the atheist thought such a question was stupid.
What do you think? Is the conscience really God’s way of helping communicate to us what is right and wrong through learning His word and moral values from Scripture? Isn’t God a Spirit? Isn’t the only way to know if a God or something else is trying to speak to you is through knowing His Word?
So if you agree with me, how can our conscience be our guide? I think our conscience cannot be a guide apart from a reference point that is proven such as the Bible.
Interesting analogy.
I think that “rebuilding the conscience” is the hardest thing to do after you receive Christ…transforming how we think, etc.
