Bible James

How do we know if the kings james version of the bible is accurate?

I understand that king james had scholars to translate the bible from old manuscripts or old languages but how do we know what kings james had put in the bible is real 100% gods holy word

Firstly, there is no such thing as an accurate translation of anything. Even if there were it would be frozen in time and become less relevent and more distorted just over changes in language which are issues all bibles in translation face.

There are also seemingly deliberate mistranslations such as in Isaiah 7:14 “A virgin shall concieve” when it actually should translate as “A yong woman shall concieve” since the Hebrew word “Almah” can only refer to young women vs. the Hebrew word “betulah” which is the only Hebrew word for virgin and it used in the Torah many times while Almah is never used in this way.

The KJV is considered beautiful poetry and the artistry may have additionally compromised the content which is a fair issue and something every poem in translation has to deal with. Still, the KJV can be wilfully inaccurate and I suggest you source your bible stories from other sources or at least include additional translations.
